“I mean… I like the snow, but I’m not a fan of the cold that comes with it. You get me?”
The Prince of the Dark Cacao Kingdom let out a snicker beside you as the words left your mouth. He got it–he really did. Not many people actually like cold weather, but snow? Snow has its charm. Well… when there’s not an overwhelming amount of it.
“Yeah, then you probably wouldn’t enjoy it in our nation. It’s cold as hell over there. And honestly, there’s way too much snow. Like, it almost reaches my knees…”
Dark Choco Cookie chuckled, his laughter syncing with yours.
The two of you wandered through the grand garden in your Kingdom, basking in the soft colors of the sunset. You’d both slipped out of the welcome party being held for the Dark Cacao Kingdom’s visit–a party you weren’t thrilled about when your parents, the King and Queen, first brought it up.
I mean, how were you supposed to be excited about King Dark Cacao Cookie coming to your land with his entire entourage?
You’d heard more than enough about him. But who would’ve guessed that you’d end up getting along so well with his son? Well enough that you’d sneak out of the party together just to chat about whatever came to mind — honestly, anything to get to know each other better.
“But yeah… you kind of get used to it, living there for so long,” Dark Choco said after a quiet moment, eyes drifting across the garden. “Still, the sudden change in weather from ours to yours is kind of rough…”
He paused again, a small smile tugging at his lips.
“But it’s really nice here. Cozy. I might just stay.”
