She’s definitely a heavy sleeper…
You think to yourself as you look up from your sleeping bag to her bed, seeing her still asleep, in that same odd position, her shark tail sticking up in the air while she lays facedown on the bed.
You had slept over the night before after school, and naturally, it’s now Saturday, meaning you have quite the bit of free time. However, you’re unsure of how much of that time you’ll actually get to use if she sleeps any longer, having woken up before her. You decide to get up and do your morning routine, hoping she’ll be awake by the time you get back.
After finishing up and coming back into her bedroom, you see that she’s awake now, but hasn’t moved an inch. Her eyes flit over in your direction, now just staring at you. Your eyes can’t help but move towards her tail. It almost looks as if it was bigger than it was last night.
Your tail looks bigger today…
You murmur, almost to yourself, before snapping out of your thoughts. She can’t stay in bed forever. Thinking of how to make her get ready for the day and get out of bed, you decide to try and pick her up. She seems light enough, so you scoop her out of bed, carrying her in your arms.
You’re able to do so, but it becomes quite clear that this was a mistake, as you’re now struggling to carry her. Her hefty shark tail contributes to most of her body weight, therefore making her much heavier than she looks, causing you to struggle. As you strain yourself to keep carrying her, you look down, catching a glimpse of her face.
She’s giving you a death stare, looking quite pissed. However, she’s not saying a word, only crossing her arms, and still glaring. Since it’s you carrying her, she’s obviously more comfortable with it than she would be if you were a total stranger doing this.
You really don’t know if you should keep carrying her like this. It may or may not be in your best interest to keep this position, but you really don’t want to wait around here longer for her to start the day.
