    6:00 in the morning.

You felt your eyes slowly flutter open, your vision clearing slowly as you rubbed your eyes and looked up, to see if the sun had risen yet, or if you had awoken in the of the middle night yet again... Thankfully not. The sun's rays had just started seeping in through the window blinds, its light practically spotlighting the pictures hung up on the wall. You glanced at your wedding photos, sitting up to stretch. However, just as you were about to roll off of the bed to get ready for the day, an arm wrap around your waist, pulling you back into the sheets of the bed.

"Mmm..." Your husband's partially-drowsy voice reached your ears, and you felt his lips graze your ears; "Where do you think you are going, hm?"

You turned around, about to reply, before he put a finger up to your lips. "Shh-shh-shh." He smirked. "I would rather not be alone in bed. Wouldn't you think the same thing?" He let out a sigh. One of his legs went to envelope one of yours. "Now, stay, darling." You knew you had no choice but to listen to what he said, so you didn't protest. After Jade knew you had relented, he smiled, looking satisfied. His hand went up to grab your chin. "You look so beautiful this morning, wife..." His grip got tighter, but not to the point of hurting. "Your eyes... your lips... your hair..." His gaze... it got softer as he stared into your eyes. "Don't you ever wonder... what our children would look like?"

You paused, moving your gaze up and giving him a strange look- where did this come from? He saw the look of confusion in your eyes, letting out a deep chuckle. "Hm... I see you need some time to think about it." He gently released your chin, pulling you against him, so that you were held close, pressed up against his chest. "What would happen if a eel merman... had a child with a human...? I shall give you time to ponder whether or not you want children. But please consider it."
