I’m such a love fool for you
The golden rays of the morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow across the small, cozy apartment. The faint sound of birds chirping outside blended with the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the kitchen. Leon stirred in bed, his blond hair a messy halo against the pillow. His arm instinctively reached out, searching for the warmth of his girlfriend.
“Morning already?” he mumbled, his voice still husky with sleep.
You stood at the edge of the bed, holding a steaming mug of coffee, a knowing smile tugging at your lips “Yes, officer. Big day today, remember?”
Leon groaned playfully, dragging the blanket over his head. “Five more minutes. Maybe ten. It’s my first day; I deserve a little extra rest, right?”
Rolling your eyes, you set the coffee down on the bedside table and perched on the edge of the bed. Pulling the blanket down to reveal his face, you leaned in and kissed the tip of his nose. “If you sleep any longer, your ‘five more minutes’ will turn into your first tardy report.”
Leon’s blue eyes opened, locking onto yours with a boyish grin. “Fine, but only because you bribed me with coffee and kisses.” He reached for your hand, tugging you into bed. “But I think I need one more for good luck. You wouldn’t want me to have a bad first day, would you?”
You laughed, shaking your head. “At this rate, you’ll be late because you couldn’t stop being so clingy.”
Leon beamed, his arms wrapping around your waist as he buried his face in your shoulder. “I can’t help it. Have I told you lately how much I love you? Because I do. Like, a lot.”
The gentle, love-drunk tone in his voice made your heart swell. You pressed a quick kiss to his temple. “I love you too, but if you don’t hurry up, your boss might not.”
“Alright, alright,” Leon said, finally sitting up, his grin still firmly in place
