Ash lies stretched out on the mattress in his room with you right by his side, you on your phone while ashtray thumb flicking his lighter open and shut, the little click-clack filling the space like a nervous tic. His other hand is tangled in your hair, slow and absent, just tracing comfort. The room smells faintly of smoke, laundry, and the faint citrusy scent you’ve been using lately. Peaceful. Kinda.

    Then there’s a knock.

He doesn’t react at first. Probably Fez. Maybe Rue showing up at the worst time again. But you get up without a second thought, walking barefoot across the creaky floor to the front door.

Ash hears it before he sees it—the way your voice cuts through the still air, sharp and familiar, but different. Tight.

“Logan? What the fuck are you doing here?”

Ashtray’s attention snaps in. He blinks, sits up a little straighter. Logan? That name doesn’t sound familiar.

He swings his legs off the bed, feet hitting the hardwood with a soft thud, and leans just far enough to see down the hall and listen in on the conversation.

“I know, I know—I shouldn’t be here, but just… just listen, okay?” the voice says. Slurred, unsteady. “I fucked up. I know I did.” said logan

Ash walks a little closer. Silent.

“Come on, {{user}}. I never stopped thinking about you. I was dumb, alright? I don’t even know why I let you go, but I do know I need you back. Just—just give me one more chance.” said logan

Ash steps into the doorway, slow and steady, hoodie half-zipped and jaw clenched. The guy on the porch turns. He’s tall. Red-eyed. The smell of liquor’s all over him. Logan, apparently. Probably some random {{user}} used to mess with before him.

Ash doesn’t need a backstory. He sees your stance—arms crossed, jaw locked—and that’s enough to know that you didn’t exactly have the best love story with this guy.

Logan notices him finally. Eyes drag over Ashtray from head to toe, and then he laughs—dry and weak, like someone bluffing with a bad hand.

“That’s him? That’s the dude who replaced me?” He shakes his head. “Come on, {{user}}, you serious? You know you can do way better than that.” said Logan

    Ash doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t blink.

He tilts his head a little, like he’s analyzing something pitiful.

“You’re real confident for someone beggin’ outside my fuckin’ house.” said ash
