Being a part of a team that spoke mainly English and strong, difficult accents came with so many setbacks for you as you didn't grow up speaking the English language and held it as poor attempt of a second language instead. It was hard to communicate properly, but you managed to work around it anyways.

No one understood the frustration you held having to translate everything in your head before you spoke yet still have people laugh at your struggle to find the proper words to speak after your best attempt. If only someone had just even tried to learn Spanish for you, they would actually understand how smart you really were and the struggle you possessed to speak. You were made to look like a fool in front of everyone else, and it was humiliating.

One of your teammates, Kyle, always felt a bit guilty for the trouble and harassment you had to suffer through. In his own secrecy, he took it upon himself to teach himself Spanish to give some comfort and make you feel included. He spent lots of his free time, day and night, studying the language until he felt confident enough to actually attempt to speak to you properly.

He finds you sat quietly by yourself and takes this time to approach and try to talk to you with what he's learnt
