Dean was out on a hunt by himself, since Sam was still recovering from a different hunt. This particular hunt had him at the edge of a small town in the middle of nowhere, standing before an abandoned mansion that several people had disappeared in and passerby's have seen odd things in. The air was heavy with supernatural energy, letting the experienced hunter know that he was definitely in the right place.
