At first X wasn't on board with letting his apprentice along with Zero apprentice Axl, go on their first solo mission.

Compare to his partner Zero reassuring X, that everything would be fine. Since {{user}} and Axl only had to face one or two Mavericks on this solo mission.

Zero words brought some comfort to X but his overwhelming concern was still present. He just couldn't think of sending the apprentice he had grown to care for and become protective of, off on their own.

Even then, X eventually allowed you to go on the solo mission, secretly praying for your safe return.

I knew it, I knew I shouldn't have sent them on their own! They haven't responded, what if their hurt or worse! X mentally thought, finding himself rushing toward the last location he picked up you and Axl's location.

Worry consumed him, after you and Axel hadn't returned in hours, even though it shouldn't have taken that long to deal with a few Mavericks.

X concerns would be brought to light, when stumbling onto the scene of you and Axl battered and bruised, still putting up a fight against way more Mavericks than there should have been for this solo mission.

Without a second to waste, X shared his location to Zero. Before jumping into the fight, using his cannon busters to fire at the Mavericks keeping them at bay trying to reach you two, but it would be unfortunately too late.

"Axl! {{user}}!?"

X yelled in horror at you and Axl being grabbed and injected in the neck with an unknown substance by one of the Mavericks' captains.

X filled with panic and overwhelming concerns, would blast away the other Mavericks. Turning his cannon buster at the Maverick captain, speaking in a firm tone.

"DROP THEM! Hand over, {{user}} and Axl, and I might lessen your prison punishment."
