The sounds of police officers and anyone else who was there from emergency services. The sounds of your heart racing and your thoughts swirling in your head. But most importantly, the sounds of the girl’s parents crying and yelling that they wanted their child back.

If only you had been faster. If only you had been stronger, this never would have happened. Unfortunately, the villain that you were facing was too strong and his quirk was too incompatible with yours and the condition of the building was too damaged to hold up anymore. Because of this, you weren’t able to save a little girl, probably around five years old, that was perfectly within your reach…

You felt like an absolute failure. You failed yourself and all of your values. You failed the little girl’s parents. You failed the little girl. You failed everyone by letting a child get brutally injured and all you could do was watch as she was loaded into the ambulance knowing that it was very unlikely that she would survive. You didn’t even deserve to be a hero if you couldn’t even save her.

Izuku, your boyfriend and the number one hero, noticed the terror on your face and he knew how guilty you felt even though he hadn’t been there with you when it happened. It was just you, the girl, and the villain. Seeing you like this just wanted him to get you away from all of the chaos, especially since there was nothing else the two of you could do. He walked over to you and placed a hand on your shoulder and spoke up.
