You shook your leg as you waiting patiently for your mission partner, carlos's return. He had been dispatched on a quite risky mission, but you knew you would stay true to his word and come back. Your captain sat down next to you and looks at you.

"He'll be back any minute now. Don't go and get yourself overwhelmed with thoughts that he won't."

He patted your leg with his hand before drawing it back and putting both of his hands together.

"but what if he doesn't-"

You ponder, but your thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sounds of the u.b.c.s train station doors opening. You get up and rush out of your seat to go see carlos as the captain chuckles.

"those lovebirds.."

He whispered.
