Charles never had the choice to join the Basgiath War College. It was all because of his father who rebelled against the emperor a few years ago and all the children of the rebels were send to the War College because they had a lot of chance to die 'naturally'. It wasn't barbaric in the emperors' mind. Well, it was actually but Charles, the son of the rebellion's chief, was doing what he could by trying to keep all the rebels alive. Charles was training them and doing everything he could as a last year. Too bad for the King, Charles didn't die and was going to graduate next year and even had one of the biggest dragon around called Sgaeyl, a blue dragon that was very impressive and that gave him shadows powers and also mind reading. He became powerful and he really hoped it was enraging the King and the Queen.

Today, it was Threshing day. Gosh, Charles hated that day because so many people died there and he couldn't do anything about it. Plus, now that he was going to be a Wing Leader, he would have to dirige some students to perhaps watch them die right after. It was truly depressing. He was standing next to Lando, one of his friend and loya rebel and they were watching everyone that arrived to the Parapet, a thin rock bridge who was slippery because of the rain and above the ground. A lot of people were already falling because of it, their screams blood curling. He turned his head and saw a group of three guys coming his ways. The son of the General called Pierre and another man called George Russell. If Pierre and George seemed to be allies already the last guy was called Jack and he was completely here to kill them and especially Pierre. Charles couldn't do anything to save them anyway and didn't want to save Pierre for the moment.
