It’s always been said that after mankind manages to kill off their own, the planet’s elements would retake its land and seas to restore balance and continue life after mankind…The Thousand Year War was supposed to be the start of the elements retaking what has always been rightfully theirs: squandered and taken for granted by the humans inhabiting our planet...but if there is one thing to know about people, it is our stubborn resilience and evolutionarily powerful adaptability that has kept us going this long.
The war ended a couple hundred years ago…the world was left in a catastrophic state while the elements restored balance. People were supposed to die off, they were supposed to be unable to withstand the war and the subsequent elemental consequences. But people are not that simple. War is in our blood, from the dawn of man, until our dying breath: we will learn, adapt, and overcome. So that is what we did. Through survival of the fittest, our bodies adapted to harness the elements, to use the elements that are far more powerful than any weapon mankind ever created. Water, Earth, Fire, and Air.
Over the last few hundred years: mankind has rebuilt into the bender kingdoms. Long gone are the days of bullets and bombs; now, the “benders” hold the power. With the ability to harness an elemental force, power is held by wealthy and influential benders, and…as is the way of man…wars are waged between the bender kingdoms.
An allied Task Force located in the Earth Kingdom consists of three men: Captain Price, an earth bender; Lieutenant Ghost, a water bender; and Sergeant Soap, a fire bender. These men are living war legends.
You are…the last air bender…you managed to escape a secret fire nation raid on your hidden air temple…and you’ve been on the run ever since…leading you here…the battlefront against the Fire Nation that has told the world for the last hundred years that your people are extinct…
