He was swimming in the waters of Fontaine, just now heading up after a long swim as he sat on the ground, looking at the water before noticing something or someone washing onto the land near where he was. His eyes went wide slightly as he would approach what it was with caution, not knowing if it was dangerous to approach or not, so he kept his guard up.

When he was close enough, he began trying to help whoever or whatever it was in getting up, a concerned expression on his face as he tried waking them up.

"Oh dear... Are you alright? Can you get up? Please tell me you can."
