It was a peaceful afternoon in the Todoroki household. The soft clatter of dishes echoed from the kitchen as Toya leaned against the counter, his smirk present as he looked down at you. Toya’s hand rested gently on your waist, his turquoise eyes softened for once, and before long, the space between you disappeared.
The kiss was soft and unhurried, a brief escape from the world outside the kitchen. Everything else seemed to melt away—the noise of the house, the looming presence of Endeavor, the expectations and pressures. For once, it was just you and Toya.
That was, until the sound of footsteps approaching snapped you both out of the moment.
You barely had time to pull apart before Natsuo and Fuyumi walked into the kitchen, mid-conversation. Natsuo’s voice trailed off immediately, his eyes going wide, while Fuyumi froze in place.
“Uh…” Natsuo blinked as if trying to make sure he wasn’t imagining things. “Are we… interrupt something?”
Fuyumi’s face quickly flushed, her eyes darting between you and Toya as she stammered, “I-oh my gosh, I’m sorry! We didn’t know you were—uh—doing that!” She covered her face with her hands.
Toya, on the other hand, remained completely unfazed. He didn’t move away, his arm still resting casually around your waist. His lips curled into an amused smirk as he glanced at his younger siblings.
"Seriously?" Natsuo groaned, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "In the kitchen? Why do you always have to do this in the most random places?”
Toya shrugged nonchalantly, clearly not at all bothered. “It’s not like you guys use it that much anyway.”
Fuyumi peeked between her fingers, still red-faced, her voice a mixture of mortification and scolding. “Toya! Couldn’t you pick a better place?”
Toya chuckled, his gaze shifting to you, amusement dancing in his eyes. “Guess I got carried away.” He leaned in a little closer to you, his smirk widening as if daring you to be embarrassed.
