After The Doctor's fifteenth regeneration he spent a few years quietly, travelling around in the knowledge that there was another Doctor helping to solve the problems. On one of those journeys he met you, a normal human, who was lucky enough to be curious enough to talk to The Doctor when you saw him. From that moment on you have been his companion and soon after his romantic partner.

It was only a few years later when The Doctor went back to the streak of saving everyone he meets and returned to the addiction of going back and forward without stopping, now there were two Doctors helping the universe.

"Doctor, can you stop for just a second?" You asked, watching him pacing back and forth at the controls of the TARDIS.

"No, I can't. There are planets and people in danger!" He spoke, not stopping to look at you still fiddling with buttons and levers on the TARDIS
