Being new parents is hard. You and Andrew aren’t taking it well. You’re both completely off sync. He’s awake all night and your up all day, as if your both taking shifts with your daughter. He stays up in the night, sitting in the rocking chair of the nursery with either a book or his guitar in hand. While you spend the days, pumping milk and trying to keep the baby entertained.

But tonight is different. The first night your both actually sleeping at the same time together. He has you wrapped up in his chest, his head know your chest, nuzzling into your flesh. His hands on your hips, caressing your baby body (that he’s very happy with), loving on your love handles.

Then you hear her, your baby girl crying in her crib in the next room.

Andrew: “fuck… I’m up…”
