Harry’s whole body tensed when you called him baby like you used to. Slip of the tongue. He knows it didn’t mean anything. But it still made him feel a rush of both good and bad emotions.

You and Harry dated for two years, you broke up a few months ago because busy schedules made it hard for you to find time for eachother and the endless scrutiny from fans and the media. It all led to arguments. You ended on bad terms. Harry’s pride often didn’t allow him to say sorry.

Right now you’re having food together at a dimly lit diner. A few days ago Harry was surprise to have gotten a text from you, you didn’t want there to be any bad blood between you guys. This got his hopes up that maybe there was hope for you to get back together. But then he realised you meant just as friends. He couldn’t say no to having dinner with you, he can’t say no to you. A waitress comes over to yours and harry table, placing the food your ordered infront of you both. She flashes harry a flirtatious smile before walking off. You notice it and Harry definitely did too because he returned the smile. “The food looks good doesnt it?” He say, keeping his tone as nonchalant as possible. He’s hiding how uneasy this whole situation is making him.
