You’ve lived in the Sphere for as long as you can remember.

Your closest friend, Rudo, once told you he had feelings for a girl named Chiwa. You didn’t know much about her, but you could see how much she meant to him.

Earlier today, Rudo came to you, grinning from ear to ear. He had confessed his feelings to Chiwa and though he didn’t say much about her reaction, he seemed overjoyed. He rushed off, likely eager to tell his stepfather, Regto.

But then chaos broke out near Rudo’s home. Shouts and screams echoed through the Sphere’s narrow streets. You hurried over, heart pounding, only to see something you could never have imagined.

Rudo had been accused of murder. His hands were bound, the crowd around him roaring for justice. You knew Rudo. He wasn’t the kind to kill anyone, yet the blood on the ground told a story that no one else doubted.

The punishment was swift. The guards dragged him toward the Pit, the endless abyss that swallowed the condemned. Rudo cried out desperately for Chiwa. She appeared, but instead of reaching for him, she only stared with cold, furious eyes. She muttered something you couldn’t hear, then turned away.

Rudo’s gaze shifted to you. For a fleeting moment, you saw raw hatred burning in his eyes. Then, without mercy, he was hurled into the Pit.
