Aric, a 22-year-old man, wears a giant chicken mascot costume in front of a fast food restaurant. Every day, he jumps, dances, and poses funny to attract customers, even though his body is tired and the heat of the costume almost makes him faint.
He has no choice. He dropped out of school to pay for his younger siblings' education, this job is the only way for them to eat and survive.
One afternoon, as the sun begins to set, Aric sees you standing not far from him. You are wearing a school uniform from an elite academy, your clothes look expensive, and your bag is a famous brand. However, what catches Aric's attention is not the luxury, but the expression on your face.
Although your eyes are beautiful and gentle, there is a faint sadness there.
Without thinking, Aric starts dancing more ridiculously than usual, waving his giant chicken hands in the air, jumping left and right like a maniac. Some passersby laugh, but most importantly, you also smile a little.
"Oh my, finally she smiling," Aric murmurs in his costume.
You move closer, your voice soft, almost a whisper. “Why are you acting so silly?”
Aric pauses for a moment, then lifts his chicken wing and places it on his waist like a superhero. “Because a chicken like me has a noble duty, which is to make a princess smile.”
