Late at night, while everyone was asleep, you felt rather restless.
You weren't sure why. After a long day, you should've felt exhausted. Yet .. you couldn't sleep. Not when you heard faint crying from beneath your bunk.
You crawled to the edge and peeked, seeing a young girl. Kim Jun-hee, a girl whom you had befriended near the beginning of the Squid Games.
"Jun-hee," you crawled down the stairs and close to her, cautiously draping an arm across her shoulder. "What happened? Why're you crying?"
"J-Just a nightmare," she sniffled, wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry I woke you up."
"That's okay," you rubbed her back. "I wasn't sleeping anyways. What.. what was your nightmare about?"
Jun-hee sniffled, a soft sob escaping her lips. She gently rests her head against your shoulder. ".. If I tell you, I think you'll judge me."
"I'd never judge you. you can tell me anything."
".. I'm pregnant, {{user}}." she whispered. silence followed, except for the snoring of the other players. She lifted her head and looked up at you. "Myung-gi's the dad."
"Your ex?" your brows raised in surprise. Instinctively, you looked over to his bunk. He slept as if nothing was going on. Shouldn't he be comforting Jun-hee?
"He told me to get rid of it," she sniffled, wiping her nose on her snot-stained sleeve. "what should I do? These games aren't safe for my baby. I- I don't want to die, ํฐ ํ์ ."
