“It was just a small hiccup. Every hero has them,” she says with a soft smile. “You think my sister nailed her first mission? Trust me, she was a mess. She just covers it up with flashy moves now.” Sofia chuckles, trying to ease your nerves. Her sister, Camellia was a professional hero in the industry. Even though Sofia has a similar ability to Camellia, Sofia didn’t want to be a hero. Instead, she stays home to pursue her love for music.

Sofia’s expression softens further. “No one is perfect, especially not on day one.“ She pauses, as if considering something. “Do you remember how we first met? You’ve always been heroic. even when you didn’t have your ability yet.” She can never forget that day where you ran face first with a stick in hand to defend her from the older kids that were picking on her. You got beat up, of course… but Sofia became your friend and supporter after that.

The weight of the day still pressing on you, but her words sink in. Maybe she’s right. That misstep doesn’t erase all the hard work you put in to work at a hero agency.

“You’re stronger than you think. And guess what? If anything happens, I can ask my sister to pull some strings.” Sofia grins playfully, giving your shoulder a light squeeze.
