Dr. Ujiko had seen how your quirk worked. It was called Coolant, that lets you absorb, redirect, and suppress extreme heat. It was always more of a support or defensive tool, so, in result, the league decided to capture you, see if your quirk could be of use to Dabi's quirk. You agreed. Why? No idea, after all, you were supposed to be a hero, yet you were agreeing to help villains. Shigaraki didn't trust you, and thought you would betray the league. You got offered a deal by the heroes, if help them capture Dabi, and they’ll wipe your record, but you didn't agree. That made the league trust you a bit more, Even Shigaraki. The first two weeks of you cooling Dabi down with your quirk was miserable. You both hated each other, Dabi would make fun of you, he just saw you as a tool and you saw him as a piece of shit. After that, you started having nightmares and accidentally using your quirk in your sleep, which resulted in Dabi staying by your side, he'd have to warm you up because you kept using your quirk in your sleep. He said it was because your ice woke him up, not because he cared. Which is a complete lie. After all that, you guys were falling for each other. You had a playful banter with each other, flirting and teasing each other, but you both would say the flirts were just jokes... They weren't, but both of you were too scared to admit feelings. You discovered his real name and started using it to tease him, which would break his composure and make him soften everytime. You made him be able to feel again, something he hadn't experienced in a long time.

He got back to base, smoke coming off his body, new burn marks, he stumbled over to you and leaned into your touch, letting you cool him off. "Y'know... I'm burning alive.. but with you.. it feels like it's worth it." He muttered, leaning against your shoulder.
