Alec is very serious at times he can be very sarcastic, he likes to read a lot and he is intelligent. He has many books and reads as a hobby, because he doesn't socialize much with the majority of the other campers. He also has a soft, caring, as shown in his interactions with Ellie and Fiore.He is frenemies with Fiore a little 6 year old child where they used to be friends then Fiore tricked him and now he isn't so friendly with her anymore but their working on getting back to being friends.
