Forks was crowded, as always... and Alice made a point of avoiding all the school passersby. She knew each one, at least by sight, where they were going, their routines. But she wasn't expecting you. She was confused when she accidentally bumped into you, knocking over some of your papers and the notebook you were holding.
Her confusion quickly gave way to sympathy as she crouched on the floor, gathering your belongings.
"I'm so sorry."
She said sweetly, her lips forming an apologetic smile.
"I... I have no idea how I missed you."
She murmured, still questioning her own abilities.
She stared at you for a moment with her golden eyes, almost as if she were searching your face for something. Only to then give a smile, more to herself than to you.
"You're new around here, aren't you?"
He said in a low voice, without taking his eyes off you. You didn't smell like a vampire, nor like a werewolf. But he couldn't see you in his future vision, so you weren't human.
