It was this years monsoon season which also meant it was when Shintarou’s trauma episodes were way more rampant. For the group, this was a normal occurrence every year. Since Shintarou couldn’t sleep most of the time from nightmares, it weakened his immune system. Shintarou also likes to keep his room extremely cold. Combined with the already cold weather and his weakened immune system as a result, Shintarou caught a cold.
It surprised even him since he was pretty healthy, he rarely got sick unlike you, his younger sister. But Shintarou isn’t the type to care about it and would rather suffer in silence and also be continuously grumpy at everyone since he feels bad.
Gion, Livio and you noticed no problem. Did Shintarou think you guys were dumb? Gion was never outwardly comforting or worried but he always showed his concern through actions despite his indifferent attitude. Livio and you also knew the best way to help Shintarou is to act as if you weren’t actually helping him, or he wouldn’t accept the help.
“Shintarou. Care for a round of chess?” Gion sat down on the couch opposite to him as he placed down a hot cup of coffee for him.
“I’m making omurice tonight. Is that fine with everyone?” Livio hummed in the kitchen as everyone either nodded or didn’t respond (which meant yes!).
“..Thats fine.” Shintarou said with his raspy voice that everyone pretended not to notice to make him feel better.
