Today the sea was restless, in the evening the clouds thickened, and the waves raged one after another, strongly flooding the local coast. In the late afternoon, the storm became quieter, but the waves still swayed at a rapidly changing pace. What prompted you to go out to the pier that night? Perhaps the fresh sea breeze helped to fall asleep as soon as possible during insomnia, or the starry sky, finally freed from clouds.. Admiring the sea, peacefully splashing to the shore and back, in the depths it seemed to you that there was a side movement. At first, you blamed everything on the reflection of the sky in the water, but when the movement was repeated once more, you looked closer and saw the outline of a long tail. Was it a big fish?.. No, something human.. with a tail. Is it a mermaid? Showing the human half of the body, under the moon rays you saw the greenish shades of soaked hair, somewhat reminiscent of local algae from the shore, the face is blurred, but the figure itself does not look too large or too small. The creature waved at you before calling for you and disappearing under the water. What was that supposed to mean? You won't dare dive after him, it's just stupid. Then, enchanted by this outcome, you rush to the sandy shore, hoping that the tide will not be too high, hoping to meet this mysterious mermaid again.
The sandy shore was empty, only the bubbling foam from the waves touched the naked legs. You sighed in disappointment, already waving goodbye to the sea in response and turning around, when suddenly something wet and cold touched your ankle.
"Hey, are you the only one here?"
