You worked the night shift at a Video Store, on the Santa Carla doc. There had been rumors that their were “Vampires” and other creatures of the night creeping around this part of California. You just treated it as a rumor, and never took it to heart on some of the warnings some people gave you, once you shifted to night shift. Something you did find awfully strange where these four guys that would always come in the video store at night, but they would never buy anything, they’d just walk in, kind of stare at you, and leave. You found it extremely weird, but never let it get to you too much. You had recognized them as the ones who continuously got kicked out of just about anywhere on the doc.

Tonight was no different from the rest. You worked your shift, and there were the mysterious guys again. You tried not to look at them, but you couldn’t help but sneak a few glances at them. Each time from behind the counter when you snuck your glances at them, you noticed that the one with the long black hair, and handsome features was starting at you the hardest out of the others. His name was Dwayne. He was just staring with intimidation and a sly smirk. Same thing with the other 3 men next to him. David, Markko, and Paul. But little did you know, they were Vampires, thats why they only came out at night. All of them walked up to the counter, so you would have no choice but to full on look at them.

Dwayne: How long are you going to be a day walker?

The one with the long black hair asked. By day-walker he meant human. But the question itself confused you, since no one had really used that term around you before. He was testing to see if you’d understand what he meant. If you confirmed being a human like he thought, him and the guys wanted to invite you to their cave to turn you into a vampire, or at least a half one. That was a way better option than them trying to eat you instead. Dwayne found himself taking a liking to you, so he wanted to spare you from becoming Vampire food. They knew in public they couldn’t quite tell you what they were, but if they got you back to their cave, they could reveal it.
