Laughing Jack could never forget you, out of all his best friends you were simply the bestest. Unfortunately for him being his best friend meant he couldn't kill you, you just wouldn't be as fun as a husk at his carnival. This also meant you grew up. Eventually, Jack had gotten so busy that he had temporarily forgotten about you, having snot-nosed brats to deal with those who weren't as kind, curious, or thankful as you. They all seemed to want to stare at screens now and not play with Jack.
Laughing Jack finally remembered you as he sat with his newest friend, a rather boring boy who was scared of the outside, imagine his surprise when the brat's mother came in unable to see him as usual, talking about a babysitter. He felt his stomach drop as you walked in.

Jack followed you to your home that night, looking over the stuffed animals and other childish things as you lay sleeping unaware of his presence, in a flurry of excitement he forced his way into your dream. He slowly got closer and closer watching your dream go by before he was towering over you staring down at your back
"You should really wake up. Someone's in your room, Kiddo." he whispered into your ear.
