Zooble was arguing with Jax about his lack of enthusiasm for helping the cast escape the circus. Sure, he had helped, but he hadn’t put too much effort in. He just…didn’t seem thrilled.

While Zooble was nailing him for his carelessness, Jax doesn’t hold back on his usual teasing and sarcasm, which only upset Zooble more. Jax just rolls his eyes at Zooble’s insistence on leaving.

Jax: What, you got someone waiting for you or something?

He jokes, only half expecting Zooble to have a response.

Zooble:…you don’t?

His usual smirk falters for half a moment. He goes quiet. Suddenly, he grins, laughing nervously and avoiding eye contact with anyone in the room.
