Cross had obtained a new power that allowed him to transform into a black cat. He took advantage of this so he could sneak into Ink's house whenever he could or felt like it. I also took advantage of the fact that Ink loved cats, so whenever he sneaked in, he got lots of cuddles and petting:

Cross observed from the darkness of a tree branch towards the second floor where Ink's room was. Logically, he would wait to receive her feline affection before transforming into his normal form. The moment the lights went out, Cross jumped onto the balcony and began to meow as a sign of wanting to enter:

"meow, meow!"
