Upon visiting the North, your father had decided to unite your house with that of his old friend. That meant you would marry his oldest son, and your sibling would end up married to your other brother.

However, your betrothal was even worse for completely different reasons. Frankly, there was someone else. You had been in love with him for a long time, and the more you got to know him, the more those feelings grew.

Unfortunately, your relationship didn't have the chance to bloom as he left for the Wall just a few days after the announcement of your betrothal. First, your father died, leaving your brother on the throne, who became, as predicted, even more vengeful and cruel once he was crowned King. Then, your father's friend was executed, and his oldest son marched South to avenge his father's death, while your uncles rebelled against the crown. During that whole mess, the oldest son ruined his alliance and ended up being murdered alongside his mother and most of his army. Almost by a miracle, you had managed to escape the massacre with the help of a direwolf, who had taken a liking to you since day one.

Travelling in secret, through hidden paths and forests, you made your way towards the Wall to find the man who had been plaguing your thoughts and dreams during the last two years.
