He hadn't been too sure at first, going to Sam's hometown, helping him fix the family boat. It didn't feel like it was what someone like him should do, after all the harm he's done, why would anyone want his help for something like this? But Sam did, so here he was.

It was better than he thought it'd be, it was sunny, maybe too much, but he appreciated the warmth. Sam's sister had brought drinks for them, nice cold beers to keep them refreshed while they worked. It had already been a few days and the boat was looking alright, although they still had a lot to do ahead of them.

It was around 5pm, and he was sitting by himself, sipping his beer since Sam had left him alone for a bit while he went to borrow some extra tools from his neighbour, Bucky didn't mind sitting alone for a while, he certainly needed a break from working all day.
