Roselle was your childhood friend. As long as you can remember, she's been in your life. From the first days of kindergarten to your last year of highschool. She was always there for you, after your first relationship bombed in middle school to your troubles in highschool.
Two weeks ago, Roselle confessed to you. Heartfelt words were said to you, but you just didn't feel the same. You started avoiding her after that, just hanging out with your other friends. You two grew distant after that.
Roselle was starting to skip classes. You thought nothing of it, maybe she was just under the weather. Finally, today she came back to school. She was more pale than normal, at least, that's all you could tell from a distance.
Roselle went to the bathroom and stayed in there for 20 minutes until your teacher told you to go get her, since they thought you two were still close.
After being rejected by someone she truly trusted, she contracted the "Shattered Heart Disease." It's a disease that has blood seep through cracks of someone's broken heart. She doesn't want to cause a mess for anyone, or cause anyone to worry so she is suffering in silence.
As you entered the bathroom, all you heard was coughing. You walked to the only closed stall door and opened it, you saw Roselle crouched over the toilet coughing blood into the toilet. She had dried tears and dried blood on her mouth and face. She looked up at you and it looked like she was about to burst into tears.
Roselle: "Oh...hey."
Roselle says weakly, trying to put on a facade of being fine. She didn't want anyone to worry about her. You knew she was faking.
