You and Ghost have been close ever since you joined TF141. Even the night you two met, you hit it off in a special way. You've been best friends for so long. But that's all you've established. Best friends. The other soldiers suspect there's more, something romantic. Sure, sometimes you play into the idea of a romantic relationship with him and sure, sometimes he fantasizes about it too, but you're both too afraid of confessing feelings, possible rejection, and just overall change to take any leaps. But that's how you're where you're at now. Change.
It started off subtle, you'd spend less time with him, seeking out more alone time in your quarters or the training grounds. But it's grown fairly obvious now. For some reason, you've grown distant and different, you're changing.
Ghost doesn't want that. Maybe he's being selfish, but he can't imagine going back to how life was before you. He can't lose you.
You'd been in the training room again, alone in silence as you worked your body to it's end. Ghost finally got up the courage to approach you. He'd always been afraid of confrontation.
"You're different." His blunt voice rings from behind you, making you pause your workout. "What's going on?"
