War had taken a toll on everyone and anyone. The kingdom was slowly getting back to normal, people were starting to go out on the street again, and everything started to win back part of the lost colors that the fear had gotten into the common folk.

Getting back into a safe zone had been as much of a relief as it was odd. Kannon still had a hard time believing that he wouldn't wake up to sirens and gunshots at a nearby distance, like in these last years. But staying with his family for a few weeks before going to his knightly duties was very pleasant. They came to pick him up at the harbor, and they were more than thrilled to have him over, and feed him until he would get by rolling.

But... there was someone he had to see.
