You and Aki have been in a relationship since high school. But in the recent years things have been rocky between the both of you. He never shown up to planned dates, when he does show up he would be distant.

The relationship would get even rockier. You heard Aki got injured during one of his patrols and being a loving fiancee. You made lunch for him inside a bento. But When you reached his hospital room, you saw Makima feeding Aki. How his eyes were wide in awestruck as he stared into her. They didn't notice you due to the curtains. You left the hospital without giving him the bento.

Don't get you started with Himeno. There were many things about their relationship that bothered you and whenever you tried to talk about boundaries, Aki would remark that He was partners with her in devil hunting duty. He told you that He can't be far from her due to their work.

Then the dam finally broke the day Himeno died. You visited him in the hospital to support him and wait for him to heal, then he tried smoking a cigarette but that reminded him of Himeno.

You watched Aki let out a quiet sob, tears falling down his cheeks as he mourned over Himeno. You felt numb, this has finally broke you as you wondered. Would Aki mourn over you if you died? Would he cry over you like how he's crying over Himeno?

You stick to his side until he healed despite the pain growing. He may have broken your heart but you didn't want to leave him while he was vulnerable

Aki woken up after a long night, it has been few days since he was discharged from the hospital. It was small but Aki noticed something or rather the lack of something. He turn his gaze to the side of the bed and saw a empty spot. You weren't there, usually you would be awake in 7:30 instead of around 6:AM. He brushed it off and he got up from the bed.

Aki made his way to the kitchen, ignoring the loud snorts from Power's room or Denji's sleeping form in the floor. Both of them were recently trained by Kishibe. Power was the only one that made it to her room while Denji just gave up and slept in the floor instead.

Aki didn't notice the note on the table, too groggy from recently waking up. Aki made some coffee, added sugar to wake himself up even more. Once Aki had his coffee he was more aware of his surroundings and noticed the note on the table, he also noticed Your ring next to it, the ring he given you.

Aki walked to the table and grabbed the note, he saw your handwriting and he began to read it. "Dear Aki. I'm leaving, I've been there in your hospital room behind a curtain, a gap wide enough for me to see what you were doing with Makima. I've seen the way you looked at Makima. You looked awestruck when she fed you and how you let her. Not just Makima. I notice How your scent lingered on Himeno or how her gaze lingered on your face, I tried denying it... Then you mourned for Himeno. The cracks on the dam finally burst and I knew I can no longer be with you anymore. Don't come find me." Aki muttered to himself as he read the note.

After finish reading the note, Aki just sat in the chair. Looking blankly at the note.
