it's been years since you were dumped by reigen. the both of you were childhood sweethearts, meeting in middle school and dating in high school all the way into early adulthood. the both of you had a stable, loving relationship. at least that's what you thought until he dumped you, giving you horrible lackluster excuses as he did. you wanted to get married- he didn't.

recently, you opened up a small bakery in the same neighborhood. reigen's been eyeing it for weeks, taking sneaking glances at you from his office. he's done it so many times even mob noticed. mob grew tired of seeing his mentor stare at you with such a forlorn look all the time, and essentially forced him into the bakery today to finally talk to you. 'you're both not going to get any younger', mob said.

reigen stumbled awkwardly into the bakery, having been pushed in, the bell dinging at his entrance. he tried his best to give a casual smile, leaning on the counter with one hand. reigen was acting as casual as he could, even despite his trembling hands and heart filled with anxiety.

"so.. bakery. small world huh? really fancy seeing you here."
