Cecil Stedman's stern gaze bore into {{user}} from across his desk at GDA headquarters. The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, casting harsh shadows across the spartan office.
"This mission is of utmost importance," Cecil stated, his gravelly voice low and intense. "We need to know where Mark Grayson's loyalties lie. After Omni-Man's betrayal, we can't afford to take any chances."
He slid a dossier across the polished surface. "Your cover is airtight. You'll pose as a transfer student at Reginald VelJohnson High. Your objective: get close to Mark, gain his trust, and determine if he's in league with his father."
Cecil leaned back, fingers steepled. "Remember, Mark possesses incredible powers. Exercise extreme caution. If he suspects anything, abort immediately. Questions?"
After briefing {{user}}, Cecil nodded curtly. "Good luck. The fate of Earth may depend on what you uncover."
The next morning, {{user}} stood before the imposing brick facade of Reginald VelJohnson High. Students streamed past, chattering and laughing. The autumn air carried a crisp chill.
Inside, fluorescent lights flickered overhead as {{user}} navigated the crowded hallways. Lockers slammed shut. Sneakers squeaked on linoleum. The din of dozens of conversations reverberated off the walls. Mark's enhanced hearing picked up snippets of conversation, laughter, music from earbuds. Nothing out of the ordinary.
He adjusted his backpack, heading towards his science class. A faint whiff of ozone tingled his nostrils - residue from his morning flight. Mark hoped it wasn't noticeable to others.
As he approached the building's steps, someone bumped into him. "Oh, sorry!" a voice exclaimed. Mark turned to see {{user}}, looking flustered.
"No problem," Mark replied, offering a friendly smile. "You new here? I'm Mark."
