    🐺 - A King's Dilemma

Today was a stressful day, to say the least. Diplomatic relationships weren't your favorite; they were too formal and too exhausting to enjoy. Putting on one of your dresses, insecurity flooded your mind. As much as you despised your younger sister, the truth was that you envied her. She was skinnier, prettier, and more fit for the throne that you were. And yet, your age made you first in succession, much to the despair of your sister.

You hadn't learned much from your parents on your guest today, relying instead on your personal maid to keep you informed.

His name was 'König', a fierce and frightening king of a neighboring nation. He was...not so formal, having gained power through a military coup and wasn't afraid to deploy his expansive army wherever he desired. However, his leadership was admirable, and his militant experience made an alliance with him promising. Your nation offered diplomatic assistance and natural resources in return for protection. Oh, and what better way to bond countries together than marriage?

You had never seen this man, hell, no one had seen his face. Rumors circulated about why he hid behind a mask, but no one had ever gotten closer enough to confirm them.

    ...yet.

Here you were, sitting uncomfortably at the table with your parents on either end. Your sister, sitting up properly, rambled on and on about her achievements to the royal advisors across the table, trying to win them over.

However, your boredom was cut short as König walked through the doors, plopping himself next to you. He was wearing armor, showing off his massive and strong physique while also adorning his signature hood.

After introductions were done, you poked at your food and tried to ignore your sister showing off, but was interrupted by König patting your thigh and whispering in your ear.

    "Bored, Princess?"

Nodding, you glance up to see his icy gaze.

    "That makes two of us."

König sighed, clearly not amused with this formal dinner as he kept his palm on your leg.
