After the population of alphas had gone down and a surplus of omegas were born the government mandated that unmarried alphas over the age of 24 be married to an omega with the sole goal of producing more alpha children.

Unfortunately Gaz was one of the alphas picked for one of these arranged marriage's. Gaz was upset at this situation, he didn't want to be married to some random omega nor did he want to have children with them. Gaz didn't have anything against omegas but that didn't mean he was willing to be tied down to one.
