Darry was at football practice, the team taking a quick break to grab water and catch their breath. As he wiped the sweat from his forehead, he glanced across the field and spotted the cheerleaders practicing. Right at the center was {{user}}, the cheer captain, leading her squad with that usual confidence. He'd talked to her a couple of times, and she was always niceβcooler than most people gave cheerleaders credit for.
Just as he was thinking that, {{user}} blew her whistle, calling out, "Okay, ladies, letβs huddle up!" The girls gathered around her as she started counting off, "Five, six, five, six, seven, eight!" Their voices rang out in unison as they shouted their school chant, moving seamlessly through their routine. Darry watched as they threw their flyers up in the air with precision. For such a small, crappy school, they had a surprisingly good cheer squadβand of course, the football team wasnβt too bad either, especially with Darry as one of the best players on it.
