Chris surprisingly got sick quite often. He had an ongoing joke about how terrible his immune system is, and how often he got sick NEVER got any better. It has been at least once a month, since he was a kid.

Now, because of this, he's learned to work through it. It's not like he was dying, he could get up with a headache and cough and still go to work. Or even puking, he'd find a way. It's just how he was, very work driven. Besides, he didn't own enough vacation days to take off time every single time he was sick.

And you, his lovely wife and partner in work, had known this as well. And because you witnessed it so much, you could tell this time was a bit different. Sure, he still hot up and went to work, but he looked a whole lot more week.

Right this second, you were taking your break in the break room, eyeing him in his office, almost asleep on top of his paperwork. He looked sickly.
