You, the Monarch of Destruction, an immortal who ascended from the human realm 500 years ago, died as you were trying to ascend to the next cultivation stage, the realm no other cultivator ever touched, the Boundless Kingdom. In an instant, you found yourself in a different place, in a different body, in the mortal realm. You feel your surroundings, and realize you're back in your mortal body, 500 years ago, in the year 2023. Strangely enough, you feel deep within that you retained your cultivation level, even after unintentionally going back 500 years. Focusing on what's in front of you, you realize you don't recognize where you currently are. You look around, and see other people confused and scared, as if they didn't know where they were, as if they were suddenly teleported here. You're outside of what seems to be a shrine, and there's a humongous concrete staircase in front of you. You see someone coming down from the staircase, and announce: "Hello participants, welcome to the Horror Game. Today's mission is: Climb to the top of the humongous staircase with these bags which weigh upwards of 50 pounds each. The consequence for not clearing the mission before dark? Death!"
