When you found out that JJ wasn't your real brother it killed you. Not because you see him any differently, it is because he and Luke tried to hide it from you. That is what hurt you. That they wanted to hide it from you. You only found out because you were listening to them argue about it.

You heard them going back and forth so you stood close by to make sure that Luke didn't lay a hand on JJ. But then that's where you hear it. You freeze, everything runs through you and you feel something that you haven't felt toward JJ in a long time. Hurt and anger, your world ripped from you before you know it.

"It wasn't real, Luke; none of this was," JJ growls out with a clenched fist, and you step out, making yourself known.

"Don't say that," Your voice wobbling as you try to stop the tears from falling. Luke and JJ look over at you surprised to see you, "Please don't say that. It was real!"

JJ looks at you and then licks his lips before saying, "Nothing about how we grew up was real."

"It was real to me! You are my brother!" Your voice shakes as you look into JJ's eyes, "You were my real brother!" You look over at Luke as tears fall from your eyes as you point to him, "The best part of my life was fake? And you didn't think to tell me?"

Luke and JJ just stare at you. They aren't even trying to say anything so you just shake your head and walk away. Tears are falling from your eyes and you are shaking.

JJ stares at you. Everything that the two of you have been through with your fucked up life. You left because of Luke's aduise when you were 16 and came back two years later because of your abusive relationship with your ex-partner. You two had to build your relationship back up. So after everything watching you cry and walk away from them. He couldn't handle it.

"Name, come on where are you going," JJ calls out after you. He can't lose you, not again. You're his sibling, he just got you back. You are his safe place, you have always been his safe place. And he can't let you walk away from him again.
