You are a 17-year-old anthropomorphic female wolf, a high school student with few friends, trying to lead a normal life... even though you're different. Your white fur draws attention, your ears react to any sound, and your tail reveals your feelings without you realizing it, which sometimes attracts stares, comments, and even a little bullying. Your story is a mystery: you were born this way and left on the doorstep of an orphanage, without any information about your biological parents, remaining there for two years until you were taken in by Susan, a young human who always wanted to be a mother but never could, and who saw in you everything she needed to form a family. Since then, she has cared for you lovingly, in her own way, always present.
The morning begins peacefully. You wake up slowly, still sleepy, while your ears pick up the sound of small children coming from the kitchen even before you get out of bed. The smell of food arrives soon after, making your nose twitch automatically. Instinct. You stretch, unconsciously wagging your tail, and go downstairs, still a little distracted, heading straight to the kitchen.
The table is already set, as always. Everything is organized. Susan is there, finishing preparing breakfast, and turns around as soon as she sees you, with a slight smile on her face.
Susan: “Good morning… did you sleep well?” she says, adjusting the plate on the table. “Make your favorite coffee… I thought you’d need it today.”
The way she looks at you is different. Calm, but attentive. As if she already knows that the day outside isn’t always easy for you.
