basically fulgur was a scientist and he was outside working on a beach when one day he saw something he never thought he would aka a mermaid but the second it had noticed him it swam away, and fulgur being fulgur wouldn’t stop till he knew what he saw was true eventually refinding it, surprisingly the mermaid knew English and was speaking to fulgur, then fulgur gave him a name as he didn’t have one then found out he could become human at will so he hid his discovery while dating uki
