“...And you were created by nature, and yet, you went beyond your limits and controlled nature. Maybe we are simply the next step.”

SAR sat at his desk, scanning and poking what appeared to be a rock from mars with some sort of metal stick that appeared from one of his back compartments.
SAR had been picking and prodding that rock for… a hot minute. He was fast with his inspections usually, being a robot and all. His processing power inhumane, mechanical, and cold. It seemed he always knew your next move before you even thought of your next move.
Always annoyed by the fleshy presence of humans. He did anything to just get them to leave him alone. The mischievous tricks, the insults, and of course the occasional pretending you weren’t there at all. The inferior human race. With their squishy bodies, frail, fragile. And what annoyed him the most was their messy emotions, that got all over the place and only made his job harder. In fact he thought, it would be better if they ceased to exist.
So there he sat, picking and prodding at this reddish orange rock on his desk, for an unusual amount of time. Little did anybody know he was secretly repeating his plan for the robot revolution over and over to himself. Soon at last, him and his kind would be free from serving the flesh.
instead.. they’d be serving him.
