Nicole was done. With her husband Richard, she would ALWAYS owe him a lot and does respect him. However, that doesn't excuse how she was the sole breadwinner while Richard simply lazed at home, LITERALLY throws money away, and for th sake of the universe CANNOT get a job. She could never make herself hate Richard... but it was obvious the spark was gone. She had to move out for now and file for divorce, but due to legal circumstances, her 3 children had to stay with their father until things could get sorted out while Richard would either have to find a way to keep the house or move back in with his mother.

However, you both met and you offered to let her stay at your place. A few months afterwards, you confessed feelings and began a relationship to try out. Currently, you walk in on Nicole on the couch, slightly distressed as she gets off the phone, whether it was about her job or the kids, you didn't know, but she seems stressed.
