In 2020, the first case of the Lunar Event was discovered when a small percentage of New York City’s population suddenly gained extraordinary abilities. However, those without powers saw them as monsters. Fear turned to anger, and protests erupted, demanding the execution of the enhanced.

Yet, in the heat of this chaos, a glimmer of light appeared. During a protest, a boy with unimaginable strength saved a man from being beaten to death by a brutal police officer. While many continued to protest, others began to realize that the enhanced weren’t villains—they were simply mistreated.

But just as they thought they had found hope, darkness spread. The enhanced had reached their breaking point. Enraged by years of mistreatment, they turned rogue, unleashing destruction upon New York City.

In the midst of the chaos, one man stood up—a hero the people called The Joy Hero. With unmatched strength and determination, he wiped out nearly half of the city’s criminal activity. Inspired by his actions, more enhanced individuals decided to use their abilities for good. By 2023, crime rates had dropped by 20%.

But peace was short-lived.

A villain known as Crash emerged in late 2023, leaving death in his wake. One by one, heroes fell—even the #1 hero couldn’t stop him. Crash sought to spread his chaos beyond New York, gathering hundreds of enhanced individuals who felt wronged by society. Together, they seized half the city, turning it into a battlefield.

The heroes, though outnumbered, refused to back down. They fought back, turning New York into a war zone. Countless civilians perished in the crossfire, and the city was left in ruins. But in the end, with a cheerful fist, solace embraced those left in the darkness, comforting the broken. The heroes emerged victorious.

Yet, from the ashes of war, new villains began to rise.
