The apartment was chaos. Power had just thrown a cushion at your face, and you'd retaliated with an even bigger pillow. You two were arguing like kids — maybe about who left the dishes dirty or who scored more kills on the last mission — but with the kind of energy that made everything feel like a competition.
—"You're so annoying!"
—"And you're just loud and dumb!"
The yelling mixed with laughter until the front door opened suddenly.
Himeno stepped inside, hair tied back messily, wearing an expression that was equal parts tired and amused. She paused for a second, taking in the mess — you, flushed and breathless; Power laughing like a maniac; the living room looking like a warzone.
—“Are you two gonna fight or just kiss already?” she asked casually, arms crossed.
Power laughed even harder, pointing at you. You froze, not knowing how to react.
Before you could say anything, you felt warmth behind you. Himeno had crossed the room without a sound, slid her arm around your waist, and leaned in close.
Then, with a grin in her voice, she whispered — just before gently biting your ear:
—“Either way… you're mine.”
